hitting the tarmac
Today has been one of the most amazing days of the year. Probably the most amazing one anyway.
I was supposed to write about how I had recently achieved a personal best which made me almost cry upon stepping past the 5k mark. I say almost cry because it was amazing that I had finally done it, but also not so amazing because so many people can do it. But screw you, comparison! This is supposed to be all about me! Today, though, was a personal best at a whole new level..
At the break of dawn, I found myself at the meet up point with a group of complete strangers AND then running the farthest distance I have ever ran in my life. What the heck?! I had actually managed to drag my feet along the entire 11 kilometer loop..whut..!! (Of course, these results are due to the immense pressure and major paisehness running aside incredibly patient & tolerant regulars who have n2o in their calves..)
This running thing…sometimes I don’t even know why I do it. I had to rethink my life at the first quarter of the route..but what they say is true, a run begins the moment you forget.
Nonetheless, today would not have been possible without the welcoming arms/calves of these strangers. Thank you, thank you so much.
> Also, my left ear bud decided to give up on me at the 6km mark, I heard it short circuit right in my ear. Shortly after that, I was advised to get a new pair of running shoes because mine are not proper enough. Please feel free to invest in my life, donations are highly encouraged.
Besides today, these days has had its ups and downs. Here are some of my these days.

Also, getting things done is pretty much the trend these days. Things seem to get done quickly when they are put down on to-do lists; one of which I’ve found penned down at the beginning of the year. It turns out I had been unreasonable and had included the completion of a full cycle of Insanity. July is almost drawing to an end and there shouldn’t be any reason to not begin anyway..
Some days I wonder how in the world I previously managed to make it till Week 7 and then decide to backslide on it.
Week 1: 4/7
Week 2: 6/7
I have not been completely disciplined, but I’ll get there somehow.
How is your to-do list coming along?
